*월 램프 [ ferreol babin ] lunaire eclipse wall lamp_fontana arte

created french designer ferréol babin for italian light manufacturer fontana arte, ‘lunaire’ is a wall lamp with a surprising illumination effect, reminiscent of the phenomenon produced by eclipses. a smaller front disc contains the light source, set inside a large concave of aluminum. two different lighting effects are created depending on how the small disc is positioned with respect to the diffuser: back lighting when the front disc is closed, or an internal glow when the disc is pulled forward. simply pulling or pushing the rod on the surface immediately changes the output to suit one’s mood.
