비아지에 의해 제안되는 amager bakke 재활용 에너지 플랜트 프로젝트는
코펜하겐의 문화, 커뮤니티 네트워크의 연장선상에서 진행된다.
산업플랜트에서 요구되는 형태와 크기를 만족시키는 디자인과 더불어
플랜트 지붕 경사면을 스키와 보드를 즐길 수 있는 아웃도어 레져스포츠 스페이스로
계획한다. 이러한 건축 디자인은 이산화탄소를 저감하는 적극적인 친환경 구축은 물론
발전적인 도시문화의 네트워크 증진에도 기여가 클 것이다.

BIG architect's
highly anticipated 'amager bakke waste-to-energy plant' has just
recently broken ground, officially beginning the construction phase of
the new energy plant with socially charged features that transform the
very fabric of copenhagen. using the typology and dimensions required of
the industrial plant, BIG takes advantage to place a ski slope along
the steep facade, creating a man-made mountain to be covered by the plentiful
amounts of snow in the area. a smoke stock gathers CO2 emissions and
expels it in the form of smoke rings illuminated by lasers, a physical manifestation of invisible waste.
