코펜하겐에 위치한 레스토랑 인테리어는 지속가능한 디자인 환경을 지향합니다. 국립은행에서 사용된 선반재는 바테이블을 포함한 내부 목재 부위에 적용됩니다. 고객을 위한 최소한의 가구와 디자인이 적용됩니다. 그리고 노르딕 온실 기능을 더한 식물이 내부에 삽입됩니다.

Built completely out of upcycled materials, Väkst is the youngest brainchild from Cofoco, the restaurant group behind other Danish eateries such as Höst, Llama and a ferry-restaurant named Sagafjord. Housed inside a three-storey building on Copenhagen’s Sankt Peders Stræde, Väkst was designed by upcycling company Genbyg, (which supplies salvaged wood, reclaimed furniture and other materials through its online store) whose designers used a variety of different materials, each with its own history and aged charm. For example, the shelves behind the bar were made using drawers from the National Bank’s archive, while the bar itself is made of old Swedish scaffolding planks. Based on the principles of sustainability and reusing materials for the sake of producing as little waste as possible, the restaurant’s Nordic greenhouse feature further enhances this principle, through creating a garden party atmosphere right in the middle of the busy city.
