situated in the uninterrupted slovenian landscape, sono architects have designed a large, family home with a monochromatic cladding and gabled roof. formed as three elongated volumes, the spaces within have been organized, designed and naturally lit to provide the family with an enjoyable living to coincide with their day-to-day lifestyle.
the uniformed façade and roof have been clad in varying materials to giving the building a texture. timber panelling and fiber-cement panels have been used to highlight the black and white contrasting shade. as well as being set in a rural, countryside landscape, the distinctive form and cladding of the residence adds to the fairytale-like quality of the dwelling.
the programmatic arrangement inside have been spread across the three adjoining, gabled structures. with a large, living space at its core, the whole ground level is open-plan and naturally lit. plenty of glass openings overlook the surrounding meadows and woodland, with the spacious bedrooms located on the top floor.
