도시의 전체적인 구조는 방사형형태가 갖는 물리적인 이점을 기본으로
육각형을 중심으로 하는 방사형 직선 그리드로 도시를 연결하는 동선체계를
구축합니다. 이러한 방사형 그리드는 동심원의 접근정도와 섹터의 위치에 따라
각기 다른 프로그램으로 구분, 조닝 되는 동시에 자유로운 네트워킹이 되도록
디자인 됩니다. 무장애 네트워킹 시스템은 도시 어느 곳에 위치하더라도
도시를 메인으로 연결하는 주 대중교통수단인 트랩을 8분안에 도보로 접근 할 수 있는
네트워킹을 유지함으로써 능률적이며 효율적인 도시 동선체계를 구축합니다.
이것은 또한 도심지 내에 차량운행이 필요하지 않는 보행자들의 천국을 만들어 냅니다.
집중과 분산 그리고 무장애 동선 체계를 지원하는 프리씨티는 새로운 도시모델로써
유토피아를 기대하는 많은 이들에게 건강한 도시모델로 제안될 것 입니다.

'FREE city' is an urban prototype with a utopian vision designed by mexico city-based practice FREE. the scheme is envisioned to utilize the benefits of radial, hexagonal and rectilinear grids to maintain radial organization, hierarchical zoning and logical growth. the typical block system is superimposed over each sector and hexagonal ring to optimize proximity between locations. an efficient public transit network supports a car-free plan, ensuring residents are never more than an 8 minute walk from a tram station.
districts are more circular towards the center and more rectangular towards the outer periphery. the centralized overlapping of programmatic areas generates a vertical urbanism derived by the interlocking of these elements. population growth and urban interactions are developed sustainably and systematically, eliminating wasted land, a current effect of sprawl.
