건축물에 캐릭터를 부여합니다.
건축물을 바라보는 관찰자의 뷰포인트에 따라 다른 볼륨감을 제시하는 입면 디자인은
총 5개의 레이어로 구성된 프리케스트 콘크리트 패널로 구축됩니다.
공간과 속도에 대한 반응을 나타내는 볼륨의 크기는
공장에서 콘크리트 슬래브를 180도 트위스트한 다양한 길이의
패널을 사전 제작합니다.
관찰자의 시점도 중요하지만 관찰자의 속도 또한 이 볼륨을 바라보는 다른 시간차를
발생시킬 것입니다. 그렇기 때문에 심플하지만 다양한 얼굴을 갖는 건축물이 탄생하는 것입니다.

Five layers of concrete ‘propellers’ create the new façade of a Liverpool department store in Villahermosa, Mexico.
The façade is part of a campaign to modernize the aesthetic of Liverpool, Mexico’s largest department store chain. The new exterior, designed by Mexico City-based architectural firm Iñaki Echeverria, is made of precast concrete slabs positioned at 180-degree angles. The rotated pieces range from 16 to 20m in height.
‘As a whole they create a sense of movement,’ says architect Jonathan Hajar of Iñaki Echeverria.
‘Light changes through the day and artificial lighting at night provide
an interesting mixture of colors, reflections and shadows to create an
always-changing image for the façade.’
After experimenting with
fibreglass and sand, concrete was used because it withstands heat in
tropical climates while aging beautifully. The Villahermosa shop is located at the Plaza Altabrisa shopping centre. Interiors were completed by FRCH Design Worldwide.
