어떻게 보면 하늘을 향해 비상할려고 하는 3마리의 새를 보고 있는 듯 하다.
이스탄불에 위치한 3개의 공동주거는 루프 끝단을 하늘로 비상하듯 올림으로써
외부의 풍부한 자연환경과 빛을 적극적인 방법으로 내부로 유입시킨다.
내외부를 통섭하는 투명한 파사드를 통한 보스포러스 강의 파노라마 뷰와
관계를 맺는 내부의 공간을 마스터 룸으로 정함으로써
내부 공간의 위계를 정의 한다.
그리고 마스터 룸에 욕실을 인접하여 활용면을 좋게 한다.
퍼블릭 스페이스인 거실은 데라스와 발코니를 통하여 외부와 연계가 쉽도록 계획되었다.
리버사이드에 위치한 공동주거는 외부와의 관계, 특히 뷰에 대한 민감한
관계를 갖는다. 이것은 우리 한강에 위치한 주거단지에도 일어나는 현상이다.
뷰는 향과는 달리 극복의 대상이 아니다. 또한 도심지에서의 뷰는
시각적으로 빌딩 숲으로 막혀 있는 거주자에게 향보다 더한 쉼터 역활을 해주지 않을까 싶다.

turkish practice tabanlioglu architects have designed 'istinye residence', a residential block comprised of three buildings along the bosporus river in istanbul, turkey. formally reminiscent of wings, butterfly roofs at varied orientations hover above the tree line opening views to the encompassing greenery and welcoming abundant daylight inside. a transparent facade in conjunction with the interior's vaulted ceilings dissolve the boundary between the internal and external environments.
bedrooms are placed near the perimeter of the plan arrangements while bathrooms are pulled inwards towards the less illuminated center of each structure. terraces and balconies extend living spaces into the natural surroundingswhile outdoor communal areas serve as a gathering platform for residents.
