*오가닉 브릿지 [ niall mclaughlin architects ] TQ2 bridge

스테인레스 스틸로 만들어진 오가닉 브릿지에요.
재미있는 것은 주변의 환경이나 날씨에 의해 변화하는 다양한
얼굴을 가지고 있는 거죠.
스틸홀이 일정하게 패턴화되어 있지만 주변의 불빛이 외피에 맺히면서 다양하게
바뀌는 거지요. 특히 날씨에 영향에 따라 더 재미있는 분위기가 연출되기도
하구요. 매트한 재질과 달리 광택이 있으며 반사하는 재질의 사용은
설계시 생각하지 못했던 또 다른 상황들을 연출하는 군요.

the structure is constructed out of stainless steel which fans out to
an organic abutment on either side.

the result of an extensive study of materiality and artificial light,
the arc of the bridge picks up light from the surrounding elements
and is intended to change according to the weather conditions and
time of day. perforated with varying sizes of holes, LED lights make
the structure glow during the night to reveal the hidden ribs of
the internal structure.
