Located 200 km south of Santiago de Chile between the Andes and the Cordillera de la Costa, in the valley of Millahue, is Vik, 1600 hectares of breathtaking landscapes, dedicated to the creation of the fascinating world of wine.

The building sits at the top of a mountain in a strategic location in the valley, seeking 360 degrees of the wonderful views of ViK, highlighting the mountains, the valley, the vineyards and the lake.

The conceptual development of the project involves on one hand the study of a fully glazed pure form, with minimal interruptions, for maximum views, perched on a concrete base, which raises us slightly from the top overlooking the valley, and on the other a titanium roof with the uniqueness of its design, reinterpreting the meaning of the place (Millahue meaning place of gold in Mapuche), trying to emulate the capricious profiles and mountainous forms of the environment.

The project is organized around a central courtyard as a Zen garden of contemplation around which galleries and the circulation are arranged.

On the north and south facades there are guest room with the necessary privacy and the best views of the mountains and the vineyards, while on the east and west facades are the common spaces, such as entrances, living rooms, galleries, library, dining room and reception, thereby enabling a view of the landscape with a full view of transparencies without interruption throughout the building.

Sustainable management of natural resources and renewable energies, and incorporating the most advanced technologies, have been ongoing concerns for the project.

The materials used, such as titanium, aluminum, steel, concrete, and glass have been selected on the basis of zero maintenance cost and durability over time.

A total of 3200 m2, which includes 22 rooms, common spaces necessary in a 7-star hotel, a treatment center of the highest level, and a magnificent infinity pool towards the sunset, are part of the architecture program.
